The Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees (PARSE) was established in 1973 as a non-profit association for the benefit of any retiree receiving a pension from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and their spouse as well as active state employees who are eligible to receive a pension from the Commonwealth and their spouse. Currently, there are thousands of members throughout Pennsylvania in 28 chapters as well as many members who reside throughout the United States.
This association is organized and functions to offer its members health benefits lost upon retiring from the Commonwealth as well as programs that benefit the members in their retirement. Furthermore, the association works to advance and promote the interest of all state annuitants through the promotion of legislation favorable to our members, encouraging the chapters in the educational, financial, and social welfare of our members, and cooperating with other organizations advancing the interests of retirees in general.
